There's a wide variety of movies available, and you can just watch "action" movies if that's your taste. In the US, the rote violence-and-car-crash movies are in fact not selling well any more... they're all the same, and video games are cheaper. The megahit violence movies often turn a profit on international distribution. I suppose violence is universal, whereas American romance doesn't export as well. "La Femme Nikita" was pretty gross. "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" was an unexpected hit. You never know what will sell. John
