Nope. Couldn't get the CEICW to complete. Kept "bombing" on the 'firewall'
step. Can't get in from the outside with RWW or OWA, but I can't get out
from inside the network.
Since I couldn't be sure the server (and LAN) were safe without a fully
configured firewall, I played it safe and shut down the server.

Since it sounds like you *have* a backup, is there a reason you can't do a
bare-metal restore? Should fix ISA and SQL all at the same time.

I thought of that, and am keepiong it as an option. When I get there in the
morning, I'll post what is in my "full backup" so I can get a 2nd set of
eyeballs on the contents. If it's correct, I may do it - my hesitation is
that what should be a 2-4 hr process usually takes me 2-3 times as long.

Been back at it for about an hour. Couldn't get Backup Exec to
install; keeps failing at the SQL Server 2005 Express part. Judt
followed the steps in here http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/287320.htm
to manually remove all traces. Rebooted and am now trying to install
it. If successful, I'll try to do a full restore.
