From: Marina Roos [SBS-MVP] on 3 Jan 2010 13:46 I think that should be error 0x80070003? The problem could be caused by the Registry path for Sharepoint that doesn't match the Companyweb Identifier value in IIS. To resolve this issue, change the following Sharepoint registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SmallBusinessServer\Intranet\companywebpath to match the number listed for the Companyweb Identifier in IIS. Rerun the CEICW. -- Regards, Marina Roos Microsoft SBS-MVP One of the Magical M&M's www.smallbizserver.net Take part in SBS forum: http://www.smallbizserver.net/Default.aspx?tabid=53 "Mike_in_Nebraska" <mike_webb(a)whoopingcrane.org> wrote in message news:105e6213-0e32-4ffb-9e3c-b6a5d8a79789(a)d20g2000yqh.googlegroups.com... >I added WINS to the internal NIC (192.168.16.2). > > I changed the Directory Security from Deny all except : to Allow All. > > Reran CEICW, but the firewall portion failed. From: Mike_in_Nebraska on 3 Jan 2010 14:00 You were correct on the error code. I also corrected the Reg Key entry for companyweb. Reran CEICW, but it failed again on the firewall. icwlog.txt Errors are: Error 0x1 returned from call to RegisterMSBOExchangeBP(). Error 0x80040211 returned from call to Sending RUP intro mail(). Error 0x80040211 returned from call to CRFireCommit::Commit(). Mike
From: Mike_in_Nebraska on 3 Jan 2010 14:23 Did a search on the 2nd error and found a post by you from 2005 to set the IP of the SMTP virtual server from all unassigned to the IP of the server. Did that and reran CEICW, but firewall still failed. icwlog.txt errors are: Error 0x1 returned from call to RegisterMSBOExchangeBP(). Error 0x8007041d returned from call to IISConfig Set(). Error 0x8007041d returned from call to CRFireCommit::Commit(). Mike
From: Marina Roos [SBS-MVP] on 3 Jan 2010 14:27 Rerun the CEICW and only acknowledge the network and firewall options. Leave the Exchange unchanged. Error 0x1 is not an error by the way. -- Regards, Marina Roos Microsoft SBS-MVP One of the Magical M&M's www.smallbizserver.net Take part in SBS forum: http://www.smallbizserver.net/Default.aspx?tabid=53 "Mike_in_Nebraska" <mike_webb(a)whoopingcrane.org> wrote in message news:5d7a25d0-049d-4f61-989a-5be8a1fd6ace(a)r5g2000yqb.googlegroups.com... > You were correct on the error code. Got it to work before I saw your last post. Found this: http://www.smallbizserver.net/Default.aspx?tabid=53&forumid=6&postid=27688&view=topic and only selected email in the firewall. CEICW was clean. Then I went back in and added RWW, Outlook via the Internet and Server reports. It failed this time. I'll go bcak and try them one at a time to see where the problem lies. Mike |
