Mine are in

You saw my other post about pulling the .gcf files across?

Other games are not so amenable - I had the Torchlight demo on Windows
already, and it's entirely different from the demo on Mac which is a
normal .app bundle. No simple transfer, even the main data file
(pak.zip) is different between the two.

Splendid! That's really excellent news.

They're really going to have to fix the Steam UI for the store and
library so you can pick "just my platform" lists, it's currently very
stupidly done indeed.

Bound to dilute it though.

Makes sense ... especially if that 'thing' is also supposed to be a
phone..

And you might not then buy say a DS if you have an iPhone?

Back on the Steam thing ... I installed it on this Mini last night
(10.5) and couldn't run Portal (and it warned me it might not). In
fact it's the first time I've had to power off the thing because it
had locked solid.

The message box couldn't tell what version of Windows it was running
on. ;-)

Indeed. Too similar to bother with both for most people, especially in
the casual gaming catagory.

Yes, I would have expected the windows setup to be much further ahead
than the unixes for single app performance than it is.

Is that the predicted outcome then? Maybe another reason why I don't
have any issues with Windows ... I don't use it in many multitasking
roles. ;-)

I thought I took from the review the Windows graphics drivers were
more advanced. Would that fact have any impact on it's ability to
multitask?

I'll let you know how well (or not) Portal runs on this Mini under XP
.... when it finishes downloading.
