I'm not alleging anything. I'm stating it as a fact.

I think you need to learn what `allegation' means, and also learn that
your words are not the word of God.

Since you are not God as you seem to think, your word does not fix the
nature of reality.

So: you may state that something is a fact, but that is only ever you
*alleging* that something is a fact.

Your allegation in this case is, as I have pointed out, insulting wrong
- you do need to correct your thinking, Jim, instead of putting on your
blinkers and refusing to learn.

btw, Jim, this is a technical newsgroup for technical discussion.
Please do lay off the personal abuse and do try to stick to something
approximating `on topic' next time, there's a love.

Rowland.

So answer me this, then: how does "Perhaps because you have 1.0E99
files." get translated into some sort of insult in your mind? Because
all he did was ask a question/state a possible reason. Nothing else.

Your question is carefully missing the point.

This newsgroup is for technical discussions, Jim - if you want to ask
about that sort of thing, take it to email[1].

For those two reasons, I'm not going to join in with your silly game.

Rowland.

[1] And before you do that, try to avoid deliberately missing the point
with the intention of winding me up, there's a dear. Not that I think
I'd bother replying to you - after all, you've shown that you're not
actually interesting in trying to understand my point of view, instead
apparently wanting to bludgeon me into accepting your viewpoint.

Which is stupidity.

or just don't reply to him, shame as he is a bright man but he's seeing
slights every where.
