Jim would like your comments on a closed off area in the ocean with an inlet door at one end and outlet door at the other , open at the top and bottom. The sun would heat the water at the top and the expanded water would rush out of the outlet door once its pressure was high enough. The inlet door would let in more water. Put a water mill at the outlet door. So what you have done is concentrated the solar power into water power and since water is denser than air which is denser than solar rays (sort of ) , you only need a small water mill to generate equivalent amounts of power , compared to solar panels and wind turbines. Its so simple and work so well , why didnt anyone think of it? I willl experiment with my solar tank in the garden. Uncle Al how big would it have to be to give me 40kw to make me energy independent? excerpt Sphelar cells are solidified silicon drops measuring 1.8 mm in diameter and are highly transparent, which is advantageous for a number of reasons. They can be embedded in glass to create a transparent solar cell window, capable of absorbing light from any direction or angle. Because both sides of the glass can collect light, this should translate into highly efficient energy harvesting. The cells can also be embedded in flexible surfaces, allowing for them to take on unusual shapes or be bent if necessary. The Sphelar Dome is one such example, designed to absorb more energy in the early morning and late evening unlike a flatter design.

As Germany and Spain are starting to realize, these are nothing more than money pits which result in unreliable power at 3 to 5 times the cost of conventional energy and an increased tax burden to cover the costs. The only "millionaires" being created are the early participants sucking at the teat of tax money. Real wealth requires real productivity. > Jim would like your comments on a closed off area in the ocean with > an inlet door at one end and outlet door at the other , open at the > top and bottom. You want a comment? How about this; it is gibbering, comic book science and you are a babbling idiot. <snip idiotic nonsense> -- Jim Pennino Remove .spam.sux to reply.

From: habshi on 30 Mar 2010 16:54 This is the way to go, sometimes people have to be forced to do the right thing. Otherwise we will all end up dead when oil runs out The Karnataka government has issued a notification, making the installation of solar water heating system mandatory at all domestic, commercial and industrial establishments in the state as an alternate source of energy.

With solar powered electric trains you can put your factories anywhere in the country excerpt Tribal lands make up almost 5 percent of the United States and hold around 10 percent of the country's renewable energy resources. According to the report, solar energy on tribal lands alone could generate 4.5 times the total national energy consumption in 2004 17,600 billion kilowatt-hours. |
