Is T i m T i m e sort of like Bahamian time - "see you Friday" means "sometime in the next month or so - maybe"? -- Pd

It can be yes, if something more interesting comes up. It works (for me) in a similar way to 'see you later' which often doesn't mean later (that day or any specific timescale). It also depends who it is and what's going on. I've never been calendared as such, possibly because I've mainly worked in support and in a reactive role. Anything I (personally) have planned ahead I try to keep in my head (but it's rarely more than a few days and rarely very much). We don't holiday abroad (when we holiday at all) and because we like to camp, don't book ahead. If we don't go on the day we thought we might (or at all), nothing is lost. The only calendar entries I'm currently advised of (by the Mrs) is our vehicle MOTs. Never been budgeted either, knowing roughly what I have in my account and generally spending what I want, when I want or what I have in my pocket. The Mrs knows exactly what's in the bank to the penny. Her Mum also knew what she had in the house and on her to the penny (kept a little paper tally in her purse). ;-) Some people *need* to work like that, possibly because they can't cope otherwise (and I'm not saying it's a bad thing etc). Like storing stuff. Yesterday I got daughter wood turning and her b/f arc welding (they both wanted to <g>). I'd not touched either for *years* but was able to lay my hand on all the tools / materials required, in spite of them not being stored tidily or in any sort of system. Ok, sometimes it felt a bit like divining but whatever process I used seemed to work! ;-) I can even remember getting diaries for Xmas as a kid then filling in my name and address at the front then throwing it away a couple of years later with no additions made. Cheers, T i m
