Got my ipad today, have had a good play, very impressive. The calendar,
email and safari are exceptionally useable, apple have really done a good
job.

Was a touch worried about the 'wireless issue', but the wifi seems to have
excellent range, easily as good as my macbook and significantly better then
my iphone.

The wonders of ebay!

I dont think the price i paid will be vastly different then the uk price.

I knew i had made the right decision today, was driving along, customer
calls me on my iphone (hands free via bluetooth). I pulled over. Normally i
would scratch around for a pen, and paper and write all the information for
an appointment, which i would then enter into my mobileme calendar on my
phone. Well, pulled over this time, picked up the ipad of the passenger
seat, rested it on the steering wheel and entered all the details directly
into the calendar with ease and speed. After the conversation finished a
minute later, i went to the calendar in my iphone just to see how long it
would take to sync over the appointment, it was allready there.....

Well done apple....

Damn' Looks like I will have to get one! I can just see me doing (and needing
to do) exactly the same sort of thing as smurf.

Ah, I *always* have a pen and pad on the sun visor. ;-)

Ah, I don't use a calendar and not sure if I have one on my phone.

Where would it have been if you had a passenger?

Could you use a gamer steering wheel if you were at home?

What if said information had required a sketch (like directions) or
other non textual info (something you easily deal with on a 50p
notepad for example)?

That bit is always nice (when it works etc).

.... for keeping up (remote synching of stuff isn't exactly new and you
would hope it would be easy between products from the same
manufacturer etc).

Suit you though. ;-)
