What in the name of jumping jacks makes you think I haven't had close personal experience of suicide? However getting po-faced about it isn't going to bring them back. Being understanding before the event might have helped but it's too damned late for that, and getting sniffy with someone else about it is, IMO, the usual flannel for the ego. Tim didn't cause anyone to commit suicide, nor did he do anything to contaminate the memory of anyone who did. Perhaps I should go off my trolley at people who make joke about Vauxhall Novas because someone I knew committed suicide in one? Or perhaps I should simply maintain some sense of proportion?

Close experience with suicide would be topping yourself. Have you done that yet? When you do, come back and preach. > > Tim didn't cause anyone to commit suicide, nor did he do anything to > contaminate the memory of anyone who did. Vauxhall Nova, eh? That's not suicide, that's mercy killing. -- "I can't see any problem with what I do - but your behaviour is vile, inhuman, disgusting. PErsonally I haven't, but I did go through terrible depression when I was a teenager and often tried overdoses and that sort of thing. > >> >> Tim didn't cause anyone to commit suicide, nor did he do anything to >> contaminate the memory of anyone who did.
