I think it says that... You lose the free data connection for the first year (you can buy it back at 10 a month, or something). Yup, here it is... 'But if you unlock your iPhone less than 12 months after you bought it, we'll take off the free Web & Wi-Fi Bolt On (that we added for the first 12 months). You can buy a Web & Wi-Fi Bolt On for 10 a month when you fill in the unlocking form.' With my glorious 'just-a-phone' Nokia 1100, all this is a foreign land to me... -- Peter

On my old N95, just checking the emails would use around 1-3mb a month, so not to bad, but the iPhone downloads much more of the content, so more data usage. With all the push notifications on it'd be very easy to download a lot more than you realise. In prefs/general/usage you can check how much data you've shifted over cellular to give you an inkling, though first month data is usually high. -- Jon B Above email address IS valid. <http://www.bramley-computers.co.uk/> Apple Laptop Repairs.

Their webservers are buggered, it took ages to get anything done. I'm 10 months into my 12 months free data on PAYG, but haven't really used it - an unlocked phone is much more useful to me. -- SteveH
