Are people dirty because soap is ineffective or because the people aren't
applying it?

Look on the internet, there is a Muslim that gets raised from the dead
through faith in Jesus.

I don't think it was the goal of Jesus to spread religion, if you notice in
the New Testament, the religious people are the ones that gave Jesus
trouble. Jesus is about relationship with God, like an interface between
man and God, he was man and God. Jesus restores the friendship between man
and God that Adam lost.

I see you have a lot of problem with the way the Bible words things but you
have to understand that it was written to be understood by those you call
"desert monkeys", you should be able to take what was written for them, add
some scientific understanding, and understand what it means or how it might
be different if directed only at us.

Jesus is the SMPS that connects God, the source power, to us, the low
voltage circuitry. Without Jesus, we could not connect without letting our
smoke out!

"...add some scientific understanding..."

We understand such infinitesimal strips of science. Any one who
thinks they can build a self contained philosophical model(which is
what religion makes an honest attempt to do) based upon our present
knowledge of science is fooling himself. If any scientist tried to
build a self consistent self contained model based upon our knowledge
in 2010, any 5 year old could poke a million holes in it. guys like
BC think they are brilliant because they see inconsistencies --- big
deal. I would love to see him write down his beliefs, they would be
Swiss cheese. I'll stick with the tried and true stuff that has
worked for over 2000 years.

Revelation 20:
13The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the
dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had
done. 14Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of
fire is the second death. 15If anyone's name was not found written in the
book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Notice "each person was judged according to what he had done." Also, Jesus
speaks of those who leads people astray and says that it would be better for
them if a millstone were tied around their neck and be thrown in the sea.
He didn't say anyone that doesn't believe, or people that never heard the
gospel, but specifies those who lead people astray.

Hell is the separation from the loving God. To you God is unworthy, what
could be worse than eternal life with him? If God tried to take you to
Heaven you'd be kicking and screaming!

The scientist knows he's never done. That's why he keeps looking. And
finding more holes.

And that leaves you inextricably bound to 2000 year old ideas. You
aren't making the "honest attempt" you referred to if you shut out
everything that threatens to overturn some cherished 2000 year old stuff.
