The credibility of a Christian surgeon drops to the floor when his religion requires him to believe as a FACT the there was a talking snake, people back from the dead, a guy that lived in a fish, millions of carnivores and herbivores on a boat and a 6000 year old earth that got soaked. -- D from BC British Columbia

I don't mind the nit picking and if you feel it helps to nail that down, it's your privilege. We are talking at cross purposes, though, and your point isn't of any real interest to me. Might be to others, can't say. > You could have chosen your words more carefully, such as, "on the open >market, due to spurious availability, the 1102 costs about double the 1052" > > And that would be correct. How about simply, "The 1102 costs about double the 1052." I'll stand on that, for now. Jon

But like you say, if this belief system is wrong it would make someone a bad engineer. According to all your peers you are a bad engineer so, according to you, your Atheist belief must be wrong! Are you saying that Jesus demonstrated to others that all you need to do is believe in him (or God) to heal? He was teaching Christians they don't need doctors??? One of the 38000 Christian denominations is the Jehovah's Witnesses who prohibit the transfusion of blood. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jehovah's_Witnesses_and_blood_transfusions They get that belief from the bible. Jehovah's Witness mother dies after refusing blood transfusion. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2007/nov/05/health.religion > > How can you accuse Jesus of showing off his power when you don't believe he > had any supernatural power? Looks like you keep dodging the answers with > another question, a moving goal post! > > RogerN What if the Jesus story is real... Raising the dead and healing a few people was ineffective at spreading a religion. (33% of globe is Christian) If Jesus taught a medical procedure that works for all people (no matter what faith) it would spread and convert people. Practical knowledge is infectious. For example: Engineers pass good design ideas to engineers who then in turn pass it on to other engineers.. Good stuff travels. 'Hey this willow plant remedy from Jesus cured my migraine headache!' And then they might convert from say Muslin to Christian without ever meeting Jesus. Even if real, Jesus is not effective at spreading a religion. - D from BC British Columbia
