Another flow sensor
I need help finding technology for a different kind of flow sensor. I have a project where I need to monitor the flow of a ground organic material (think oregano or pepper ground to 100-400 microns). It's coming from a horizontal discharge tube (twin augers) down into a vertical collector about 2" in dia. and 4" ... 23 Apr 2010 21:25
Will heating the platters beyond curie temp make disk-splicing impossible?

Will heating the platters beyond curie temp make disk-splicing impossible?
Hi: If I heat the platters of my HDD beyond curie point to eliminate the platters' magnetic properties, will disk-splicing still make it possible to recover data from those platters? I ask because I read some stuff on the following link: http://aboutinternet.org.ua/6097final/lib0157.html "Under the illusion... 24 Apr 2010 17:15

UnieKaas Black Label "over-aged" gouda, from Holland. This is not your wimpy rubbery everyday gouda. It's dark orange, serious flavor, almost hard, seems to have crunchy grains of salt inside. Worth a try. John ... 15 Apr 2010 23:40
Lab.Oven
Hi, Can anyone recommed an affordable Lab. oven to test the printed circuit boards in different temparature ranges. I am also trying to encapsulate the printed circuit boards into thermal conductive epoxy and heat the board for atleast an hour to dry the epoxy. Thanks John ... 16 Apr 2010 23:58
Feedback resistor in CMOS Xtal oscillator.
I'm experimenting with a 32.768kHz oscillator using a watch crystal (no specs) and a CMOS inverter. The current limiting resistor is 330k and the caps are both 15pF. It oscillates with 4.7-10Meg feedback resistor but not with 3.3M. I increased the Rf in steps from 3.3M and it reluctantly starts up with 3.8M, ta... 16 Apr 2010 15:06
