I was being prosecuted for a misdemeanor. When I got to court, there
were two doctors, a medical doctor and a doctor of psychology to
accuse me of insanity. Both of these doctors had visited me in jail
and tried to get me to make a statement to them.

Well, lawyers consider themselves to be the most intelligent people on
earth. All other people are fools compared to them in their minds.

Well, you are only showing your ignorance, Steve. All it takes to
appeal the case on the grounds that you were denied trial by jury is
to take a blank piece of paper, Designate the case and case number,
state that you are appealing the case on the grounds that you were
denied trial by jury, give the date, and sign it. Then you give it to
the clerk of court.
Believe me, the case will go to the next court.
If you are saying that a lawyer cannot do this, you are probably
right. A lawyer would brobably be disbarred for admitting that a
United States citizen has the right to trial by jury if no lawyer is
representing him.

Where do you get the idea that only criminals have rights in the
United States? If nothing else, a operson accused of insanity would
have the right to a civil trial on the grounds that the amount of
money in controversy was more than twenty dollars. An insane mperson
has not right under present interpretaiton of law to conduct his own
financial affairs.
