I wish... I used to attend a conference in Melbourne, FL, in February,
which was a wonderful break from the depths of winter. This year I'll
be in Orlando but not until April, alas.

That works for me, but I'd rather meet at that restaurant with the
great crab cakes... Can't remember the name but driving north through
Cocoa it's on your left, blue building. Wonderful food and cold beer.
Or we could meet at the Purple Porpoise, just north of Melbourne.

Yes... yes... but so what?

Well, just be glad that it's April rather than, say, August. Odds are
you'll see near perfect weather in April.

Oh, lord yes. I was at NEXPO (Newspaper Association of America annual
event) in Orlando a few years back, in June.

102 degrees F, 100% RH, and smoke from the forest fires was covering
the city. My hotel was a three minute walk from the convention center,
and it was three minutes in hell.

I don't mind heat (we can get near above 100F here in the summer) but
combined with the humidity... Oy!
