I think Rowland has a fair point. Engaging in endless and protracted discussion on usenet with someone you know (and we all know) is two sandwiches short of a picnic certainly suggests you have a problem -- though it may only be so serious a one as having too much free time! b. -- <bas(a)bas.me.uk> <URL:http://bas.me.uk/> `Zombies are defined by behavior and can be "explained" by many handy shortcuts: the supernatural, radiation, a virus, space visitors, secret weapons, a Harvard education and so on.' -- Roger Ebert

Please, Tim, you need to address your serious behavioural problems: they clearly exist for real, and you need to start by admitting that you have them. > - not at least of the variety under > discussion. All you can do is deny everything and rage on abusively when I point out gently that you need help. It's a classic pattern. You need help, Tim, really you do. The mind boggles. And yet you are lying about me (again) for the purposes of abusing me: you have insulted me because you want to upset me and provoke me to go off on one again. A shame that you don't seem able to see the faults in your own behaviour. Can you /really/ not understand that your behaviour here is grossly improper? If you *really* cannot see that, then you *REALLY* need to get some help. btw, you know very well that I have never alleged that I possess scientific training. I possess a scientific education - far superior to `training'. And it's no mere allegation, I've got the degree certificates (yeah, plural) to prove it. > I think Rowland has a fair point. Quite. I'm here for the technical stuff. You all know that I react badly to personal abuse in part because of some very common mental health problems that I suffer from[1] - which are not of a nature that could reasonably be used to classify me as the `nutter' as that senile old fart Peter Ceresole likes to insult me. Some people here seem to like winding me up with personal abuse because they like to make ill people suffer. That's sick. Rowland. [1] Anxiety and depression, with a touch of Asperger's syndrome. I am *OFFICIALLY* classified as suffering from such mild mental health problems that I do not need treatment, according to the local NHS authorities. I've got the letter here. (okay, it's just an excuse to save money in the short term by denying me services, but I've been diagnosed time and time again as *NOT* suffering from any form of problematic delusions, or schizophrenia, or psychosis, or any of the things which are classified as `serious mental health problems' by the officical classification methods). The official diagnosis, let me remind you, states that my mental health problems are such that I'm NOT a nutter - even though Peter Ceresole insists that I am. That's what the official medical specialists who have actually assessed me state. And yet Peter Ceresole thinks that he knows so much more than the doctors who have assessed me, despite the fact that he's got no education or training or experience in the field of mental health care. Well, one of Peter or me is displaying an inability to understand the limits of his own abilities and knowledge, and I don't think it's me. P.S. Since Peter Ceresole thinks that it's perfectly polite of him to abuse me by calling me a `nutter' or worse, I think that I should point out that as far as I'm concerned, he's definitely a senile old fart. In context, there is certainly no way Peter could reasonable object to that being an insult, not if he thinks it's okay to deride me as a `nutter' on a routine basis, the silly old fool that he is. Maybe he should be thinking of having his net connection taken away from him when he's moved to the old folks home, which he clearly needs sooner rather than later? P.P.S Of course, Peter, you might think that I'm not being kind to you. If so, you might consider stopping hurling abuse at me. -- Remove the animal for email address: rowland.mcdonnell(a)dog.physics.org Sorry - the spam got to me http://www.mag-uk.org http://www.bmf.co.uk UK biker? FWIW, I've killfiled those who only insult me and never give me any useful information. I don't understand why they have to keep on insulting me if it's not just because they take pleasure from mocking the afflicted.
