My new 3g phone came with 3.13. The version four was horrendous. I turned off all push on emails/cal and it improved ut a touch though.

Thanks for your input; I will try rebooting my laggardly 3G more regularly and see what happens. To be honest, it was slow from the minute I installed iOS4 -- quite literally from the first time I slid to unlock it -- but I guess it's worth a try: I need to eke out a month or two more from this device whilst I make up my mind about the iPhone 4. > I wonder what this means for the iPad when it gets a software > update. The iPad is blindingly fast right now -- its speed is probably my favourite thing about it. If iOS 4[.1?] makes it even a whisker slower, it will be rather disappointing. b. -- <bas(a)bas.me.uk> <URL:http://bas.me.uk/> `Zombies are defined by behavior and can be "explained" by many handy shortcuts: the supernatural, radiation, a virus, space visitors, secret weapons, a Harvard education and so on.' -- Roger Ebert

Impressively fast on the iPH-4, and the iPad has a faster CPU. One would hope that they'll have plugged any (alleged) memory leaks by then.
