It isn't really. "microcode" usually refers to an underlying code that implements higher level instructions. A few DSPs do have something like microcode behind the very long instruction's operation. Very often the effect of one instruction is actually carried out over several instruction times. Stepping off the sequence of operations is done by some special hardware. In the true microcode I've dealt with, the operations had to be done at the later instruction. [R4] = A3+R7; [R5] = A3 = R1 * A2; In microcode looks like: load-mult R1, A2 & add A3, R7 ... Step-mult & ... Out-mult A3 & stor [R4],A3 .... stor [R5],A3 .... -- -- kensmith(a)rahul.net forging knowledge

Sadly, that sort of price will only buy you a one bedroom flat and it normally costs at least two incomes to purchase it. I would love to see someone on $200 per week even affording food bills let alone anything else.

The only company I know of that made a bottled water of 'dubious origin' was the Coca-Cola company who used tap water. Graham

Sadly, despite what the fearmongers might think, I have not collaborated with Eeyore. We disagree on some topics and agree on others. However, if you demand that people do pick sides then by default I will side against the person who makes that demand. The same argument follows that Jamie has collaborated with such pillars of logic and decency as JoeBloe and unsettled. Not to mention the neu-communistic /BAH. There is a small part of this thread which has forced a polarisation of debate, but it is artificial. If you (Jamie) insist it exists then nothing I can do will do myself a "great justice" as the injustice is already too large. > Me ? > > Do elaborate about these difficulties you see. > > Graham > |
