I certainly am not. I spent a large proportion of my life working in America
and most of my contracts are with American companies. However, I am
anti-Jingoistic Biggot.

Which is why in the above either (a) more land is gradually taken into cultivation
(b) productivity of the land increases to feed the extra mouths - and this also
releases ppl to perform support tasks like teaching - and ultimately leads to an
industrial society (c) it become a driver for emigration.
