The US military, like our own, teach it at many levels - not just officers.

Amazing lack of a grasp on world politics and recent world history. Stick to
re-writing what Alexander did.

Correct but not completely true. Afghanistan has been a "problem" since long
before the cold war. The Taliban were a "Cold War" invention that went wrong
though.

> Somalia is a cold war side effect.

Really? Can you elaborate?

Really? Again, can you elaborate.

No, I don't think people have forgotten about them. India is not a "cold
war" left over. The trouble between India and Pakistan is pretty much
unrelated to cold war politics and manoeuvring. I am fairly sure the last US
major operation in south east Asia ended quite a few years before the Cold
War ended - there may still be US troops fighting the Vietcong but I doubt
it.

China? Odd one given that the US is courting better relationships with the
nation. Even though they were communists and enemies of the 1950's US (where
you seem to live), they were never really "onside" with the USSR.

Amazing use of a strawman. What in Eeyore's post said the Cold War should
_not_ have been waged?

Are you saying that when the west "created" the Taliban it was not a stupid
act?

Strawman.

So what? So is the Cote d'Ivoire are you saying that the cold war was fought
there?
