I've lived in the South, the northeast, and the West, and traveled all
over, and I know of no US regional hatreds. There's some mild
stereotyping, like Californians are goofy and Vermonters are austere
and Bostonians drive badly, stuff like that, but usually based in
fact.

And I don't see a lot of reports of killings based on regional
hatreds. None, in fact. Just look at the big sports competitions, the
World Series and the Superbowl; there's no seating segregation at all,
and violence among fans of competing teams is nil. Compare that.
