Under your desk. If you orient it the right way such that the exhaust air
exits near the floor, one of the dogs will tend to situate himself right next
to it as well. :-)

Maintaining multiple machines is a major hassle. Right now, I'd only
need the VM to be to potentially deal with really old stuff. That
doesn't often come up.

Eg. I've never needed to revisit my old GEM Ventura Publisher files,
but if I did I'd likely have problems. ;-)

Both machines I've bought in past 6 months used Win7 64 but I don't
expect to move to it for my "main" desktop machine(s) until 2013-2015.

But two of them are really big, they wouldn't have enough space and
there's three dog pillows in each office. They aren't assigned but there
is a pecking order.
