It's really just that they're so close to coming out with the new one that, since I'm not in a huge hurry, I'd rather wait. That said, assuming it's the same as the one Gizmodo reviewed, I could end up using the webcam occasionally, and the improvements to the regular camera sound good. -- Mac and geek T-shirts & gifts <http://designsbymike.net/shop/mac.cgi> Prius shirts/bumper stickers <http://designsbymike.net/shop/prius.cgi> Make money while saving money <http://www.bign.com/mrosenberg>

Ahh... To me, 4G means "4G network" not just a fourth generation iPhone. That one is still a 3G phone, on a 3G network. Sorry for any confusion. I wouldn't buy an iPhone right now myself either, I'd definitely recommend waiting for the next one -- I was thinking you were suggesting waiting for the first iPhone to support 4G cellular technologies.

You're understimating the power of the Steve Jobs reality distortion field to obtain procesor discounts :-) Seriously, you're probably right, but it's probably largely because of the huge amounts of HP/Dell low-end boxes that many companies have on every employee's desk. That's not a market Apple has even aimed for. -- The problem with socialism is there's always someone with less ability and more need. |
