From: Poochie on 26 Dec 2009 16:11 Can someone tell me why Macs are 2-3 times more expensive than PC's? Can someone also tell me why usenet groups are not being used as much as before? Years and years ago I lurked here and there was a TON OF POSTS. But these days most have gone to the web. Is that right? Woof woof Poochie the dog

Is that right? Welcome to the kill file. Off you go, now. *plonk* -- Send responses to the relevant news group rather than email to me. E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my very hungry SPAM filter. Due to Google's refusal to prevent spammers from posting messages through their servers, I often ignore posts from Google Groups. Use a real news client if you want me to see your posts. JR

They're not, necessarily. While you can get cheapjack PCs, if you look for a PC from a reputable maker, with similar specifications to a given Mac, they'll be close to the same price, give or take. As in, sometimes the PC equivalent is a bit less expensive, sometimes a bit more.
