My general opinion of the iPad in general - I'm sure theyll be lovely in
the flesh, but it still feels 'incomplete' somehow & I'm sure it'll take
a year for things like UK book store to finalise (qv Sony Reader). By
then v2 hardware will be out & I'll look again then.

Tricky. How long did it take for the iPod to get replaceable batteries?

But if you really want one (and I can easily see why you would, as it's
a lovely realisation of a great concept) then take a punt on v.1.

Anyway, it's only money.

A pedant writes: you mean "cf", not "qv".

With luck, Flash will be obsolete first.

Perhaps the UK book store for the Sony Reader took a year to finalise?

I see a surprising number of Sony Readers on the tube in the morning --
perhaps one a week. (I'm fairly sure it's not the same person every time,
though before 8am I'm fairly prosopagnosic.) I think I may have seen a
Kindle once.
