I was going to do Pay as you Go last year when I got mine, but when I did
the sums it was actually cheaper to have a contract at �35 a month and a
smaller cost for the phone than pay the extra money to 'buy' the phone and
then go Pay as you Go.

Idle query - if you get an unlocked iPhone, and stick an O2 standard
SIM in it, does VVM magically work, or does your account have to be
provisioned as an iphone account?

I would imagine that if VV doesn't work on a PAYG iPhone, the chances of
it working with other than a contract iPhone account are very slim
