No paid app is required for Contact updating, syncing or whatever.

The paid app is MyBackup, the easy way to backup to the cloud. Well
worth the money, nothing like it AFAIK for iPhone.

But apps can also be easily backed up with free Astro File Manager
to the SD card, which can be moved easily between phones and computers,
something not even possible with iPhone.

If the iPhone and iPad are really so impressive,
then why do iFans keep making excuses for them?

Does you little good when you're not near the computer,
or the computer crashes, or it gets stolen, etc.
'Course you can backup the computer too,
but few people actually do that. ;)

downloading apps is easy. the data is the tricky part and the most
important part.

a lot of work if data is important.

that's because it's automatic. it's *not* *needed*.

"it's not a bug it's a feature."
