Those "inch wide borders eating up all the screen" somehow managed to
leave one with about 7.75" x 5.75" of screen real estate.

Said borders making it possible to hold the gadget without constantly
touching active controls on-screen and making using it annoying.

See, that's the difference between listening to the voices in your head,
and actual experience with reality.

See, there you go listening to the voices in your head, versus getting
up and actually finding something out.

Youtube has offered non-Flash video for iPhone/iPod touch and personal
computers for a long time. They're H.264, work at least as well as the
Flash versions, and just fine on the iPad.

You just might want to stop displaying your ignorance so agressively,
you know.

Or not, if that's what floats your boat.

Not only that, but if you go to the following URL and click on "Join the
HTML5 beta" then YouTube gives you a cookie which results in it serving
stuff to you as HTML5/H.264 in Safari on a Mac:

If you go to apple.com website and toproducts then iPad. you'll see what
it really looks like.

Basically it is the same look as an iTouch or iPhone except its about 3
to 4 times as large.

h.264 is only a subset of what's available in Flash. For now.
