I've set mine up and I like it a lot, so far. The screen is excellent for reading eBooks in bed or on the patio (my wife's primary use). It provides a fine web-browsing and email experience, although I can't use it for BridgeBase, since that requires Flash, which is a real bummer. Side-by-side with my iPhone, it is a better iPod without earbuds (i.e. seems like a better speaker). 90 minutes isn't enough time to get a more detailed sense of its pluses and minuses. -- Spenser

Trust me. of course they will, because they've already managed to do it for the iphone and ipod touch. it should be easy!

Trust me. It is *such* an odd omission that there must be some kind of plan already in the works for dealing with this. After all, Apple has used Flash on its own Web site from time to time. Flash sucks and its dominance as a technology baffles me. But it's out there on far too many Web sites for Apple to let that be. Universal adoption of HTML5 isn't going to happen during the product life cycle of the iPad so waiting for that can't be the plan (shoot, universal adoption of HTML 1 hasn't happened yet, given the millions of horribly coded Web sites out there). |
