How to get rid of Google Software Update agent?
I tried out Chrome, decided I didn't like the interface and trashed it. I've also deleted the appropriate ~/Library files, but I'm still plagued by GoogleSoftwareAgent asking Little Snitch if it can update things every so often. I do have Google Earth installed, but never had these questions before so I'm presu... 1 Jun 2010 03:16
Short term review: Samsung CLP-315W colour laser
Sadly, my old dinosaur of a colour laser started showing motor errors - things too expensive to economically repair for it. So fair well Lexmark Optra SC 1275 EN, whose thunder used to (literally) shake the floor when it printed and whose weight was the stuff of Herculean legend, and hello Samsung CLP-315W. ... 31 May 2010 16:24

Office 2011
I have got beta 3 of the new Office suite for Mac and I have to say its bloody good. Outlook is way way better than Entorage, and although a Beta its really slick. Impressed. -- Gavin.  ACSP 10.5 http://www.stoof.co.uk http://www.twitter.com/gavin_wilby ... 1 Jun 2010 03:16

MacPro 2 x2.8Ghz, 6GB RAM, 10.6.3 I had a bit of a cable rearrange, so that all three USB ports on the back are now used for: Keyboard iPhone cable (leading to an Apple branded iPhone dock) iPad cable (no dock yet) However, if I plug in both my iPhone and my iPad then the ke... 31 May 2010 06:31
Downloading web site
From time to time a client asks me to download their web site to work on off line (you might be surprised how many have no backup) and I tend to do it using wget -r in Linux. Does anyone know of a way of grabbing a smallish site in OSX 10.5 or 6 in its original form? wget doesn't seem to be recognised in the Term... 31 May 2010 08:41

iPad keyboard
Just noticed this.... The j and f keys have the little feeler tab thing on them that help you find the keys when touch typing. Only you (obviously) can't feel them on a virtual keyboard. Odd. -- Posted from NewsTap for iPad ... 4 Jun 2010 03:47
excuse me, is that an iPad?
