That is wrong. Our goal should be to know what is in the
best interest of the nation and its people. Reacting to
threats to national security with growls instead of swift
and lethal bites is a sign of weakness; this becomes an open
invitation to anybody who would like to take over the real
estate.

No, we weren't. Europe always thought we were crude because
we got things done with no finesse.

No one nor no nation earns respect if they keep backing down
and shy away from doing the unlovable things.

You are listening to so-called popular opinion of people
who are getting the ear of broadcasters such as the BBC.
These people who are bitching about hating the US are
aping the Islamic extremists and not representing the
statesmen or rulers of their country.

Nor the eastern countries of Europe.

I think it's normal for humans to try to avoid nasty things.
It is normal to try to pretend that a bad thing didn't happen.
Those who learn to cope with new changes will survive. Those
who don't learn to cope, will not survive unless they are lucky.
This luck depends on having enough people in their vicinity who
can cope with the change.

IT Security really.
