Yep, so what. You wanna piece of me, huh, huh... ;-) Rowland drags a fair percentage of people down to his level, even mature British types who have a reputation of being more civilized than we colonists. Mark-

Hmm - yers... Yers indeed. Someone here managed to withdraw from the fray. And others here decided that they wanted to carry on going aroudn the playground telling everyone just how nasty X had been to them, sharing all their nasty tales about how nasty X is, so as to get everyone in the playground to send him to Coventry. But of course you think you're behaving like grown-ups, don't you? > > Yep, so what. > > > > You wanna piece of me, huh, huh... ;-) > > Yeah, c'mon put up yer dukes. > > > Rowland drags a fair percentage of people down to his level > > That's the beauty of his combination of intelligence and craziness. > It's just sooo tempting to wade in. <cough> That's the problem with you people - you're very good at sneering at others, very good at identifying alleged fault elsewhere. But you seem utterly incapable of any self-awareness at all - both of you in particular. Look in the mirror. Can you see yourselves? I thought not... Yep, very very good - - - very very very good. > But you seem utterly incapable of any self-awareness at all I do not agree with that. Most people in this forum, especially the British who probably make up 99% of the posters in this forum, listen carefully to their critics, and change their own character if it needs changing. You are the exception to all the other fine British people in this forum, you keep a death grip on all your foul traits, refusing to improve your own character. You are very good at making enemies. I visited this forum with an open mind. Sure, I saw all the posts criticising you, but initially I ignored those posts. If you recall, we discussed many subjects: 1) motorcycles 2) politics 3) religion 4) fusion power 5) computer speech recognition 6) medical systems in both our countries 7) what "understand" means when applied to what a computer can do 8) robots replacing humans 9) robots actually thinking and "understanding" 10) humans with robotic parts ....and I particularly like this one <g> 11) humans with an artificial brain, identical in function, memories, capabilities, to their own biological brain, which was removed and discarded during the transplant operation I was favorably impressed by your depth of knowledge on a lot of subjects, I was about to dismiss your critics as being "hard cases", who had some sort of vendeta against you. However, I noticed many disturbing aspects of your character, namely you were very quick to heavily criticize others who merely disagree with you. By heavily criticize, I mean as below: "you're a propangandist for the Republican party" "you ARE a neo-nazi racist bigot" "we can ignore your opinions as pure malicious bullshit" I tried to ignore this, when you turned this obvious abuse on me, because I figured you were just "caught up" in the fury of a discussion about politics. I then decided, on my own, not influenced by others in this newsgroup, to re-assess my evaluation of you to a much more downwards position, more in line with the poor opinion that your own British countrymen have of you. You appear to hate everything American, which of course is your prerogative, everyone has their own biases, including me. You appear to think my country, the USA , is run and controlled by a cartel of rich people , totally ignoring the election process in the USA , which elects the people whom we allow to govern us. Sometimes we screw up, as when we decided to elect the spendthrift Obama, whom we did not realize was going to borrow and spend us into poverty, but we will rectify our mistake during the next presidential election on November 4, 2012, assuming our nation has not been re-possesed by the Chinese for defalting on our loan payments because we are too broke to pay them. You seem to think that our present minority party , the Republicans , somehow has the power to completely sabotage whatever our president decides to do. Our constitution was expressely designed to ensure that no one branch of government, least of all the minority branch of the Republican party, would have the power to ursurp other branches of government, say the executive branch, namely president Obama. If Obama declares we go to war and nuke Iran, then we go to war and nuke Iran, and there is not a damn thing the Republican party can do to prevent it, even though they may be dead set against war. You say the entire Republican party is completely corrupt, although you conveniently omit details of such corruption, and you know that the American people would immediately sack the entire Republican party if such evidence was found. You seem to think that our president Obama should be given the "chance" to completely borrow and overspend us into poverty, which makes me wonder if you have a hidden agenda to cause the downfall of the USA . To me, that makes sense, considering your often expressed hatred of the USA . If we had a similar nutcase like you in the USA forums ranting about how horrible he thought the UK was, we would killfile such a looney immediately, and try to have him arrested on a charge of inciting to riot. Fortunately, no such hate-filled anti-UK looney has surfaced in the Mac forums on our side of the pond. Mark-
