My sister in law doesn't want a computer- too big, too much faff- but she does want a way of mailing and IMing with her children. Also online shopping and buying tickets. She doesn't really need to print from it. The iPad could do all those things. She saw a picture and some articles about one and decided herself that she would like one, which is amazing enough. She had a legacy Windows laptop and abandoned it. She had a car and gave it away. She's about as far from being a gadget lover as it's possible to get. She actually hates the idea of having a computer. An iPad might do the job. -- Peter
