Geoff,

Bizzare, weird - what has evil got to do with this forum - goodness knows
what he is on or who he is hanging out with, but it appears a touch bent.

Paul D B - that was an amazing piece - not that I understood a word of it.

Gee Phil, thanks for the lesson on Ajax. I don't know what I'd do
without you putting us all straight like that.

....but all I hear is the sound of someone shovelling... digging
themselves deeper and deeper....

It was not my intent to say that a 'free' product would replace VO in my
daily work. On the otherhand, this is the environment that Grafx has chose
to compete in.

In the U.S., Howard Stern is a pretty controversial radio host. He's taken
is show "private", where listeners must pay to here him. They've been
dissappointed with the subscription rate. But it's similar to VOPS. We
can't 'hear' what's going on, so it's a tough sell that 'anything' is going
on. How doe's Howard Stern get a new listener, when they must pay a
subscription to 'try him out?" The same holds true for VO, as far as
attracting new users, if VOPS is how the company communicates, how will
growth occur? A user can 'pay' to get more information about a product
(VO), or choose C#, and get all the information on the internet (AND the
tool), for free.

Finally, one thing has been free. The customer support on this board,
offered by hundreds of loyal users, was always free. If they have so little
use for the group, maybe they should hire a customer support person to start
responding to questions. Grafx bit the hand that fed them, not the otherway
around.
