This statement alone shows you don't have a clue about evolution.

I'll take that as a "yes".

abiogenesis usually means that it happened by chance.

My own will say that. Not that if matter, Having a belief, is very
different than having a fact. I can/t with the scientific method,
demonstrate God created anything. On that same token, To say that
Abiogenesis was a fact, can't be demonstrated neither.

As I have mentioned many time before, You may have evidence of
something, and it can be fact. But it is never conclusive, Sometime
it is the way evidence is viewed and observed and interpreted.

Here in example, across the river from where I lived a man was jut
released after 30 yrs in prison for a crime he did not commit. A
homicide.
http://kyw.cbslocal.com/2010/07/15/released-from-jail-over-questionable-conviction/

Apparently the people who put him in Jail believed in the evidence at
the time. Now 30 year later the evidence is not so concrete. He may
not be bitter now, but eventually he will be. 30 years of his life is
gone, and he will not get that back ever.

Now this was 30 years ago, make you wonder why people are concerned
with an events that happen millions of years ago, and both camps
conclude it has happened.
