Not as long as you're happy spinning the pcb etch four or five times, and shipping a lot of bugs. To get it right the first time, you can't lie to yourself about anything. John

It's not certainty to me, but it's sure suspicious that Earth is such an improbably beautiful place, and that we are alive now. The probability of those things happening is so close to zero that it doesn't matter. Consider living near the triple point of water: clouds, rivers, snow, all at the same time. Consider the neatly separated minerals for the taking, and the fuel/oxidizer in abundance. Consider the clear atmosphere, dense enough for flight but clear enough that we can see the stars. I bet D from BC is unimpressed. John

I think Chrisitianity makes designers look like fools because Christianity is in the business of irrational thinking. It's irrational to swallow as FACT that a guy lived in a fish, a god sacrificed himself, god made everything when it is not scientifically supported and the bible is the only way to learn morals. Irrational thinking is not useful in engineering. If utilized, it can be dangerous! The excuse I hear is something like this... Christianity is like athletes foot. It's ok as long as it doesn't spread all over your body. Or... A little craziness in the brain is ok as long as it doesn't spread all over the brain. iows...Christians designers have a fly in their soup. They just spoon around the fly. |
