Cheap potting alternative Is it possible to use epoxy or polyester surfboard resin for potting audio fequency PCB's? How about the crystal epoxy used for encapsulating insects, etc? Any other low cost alternatives, aside from flexible rubber/silicone? Many thanks, Larry Kent ... 8 Mar 2010 20:56
Square + triangle = sine (almost) If a squarewave contains all odd harmonics of the fundamental frequency, and a triangle all even, will I get ALL harmonics if I mix the two waveforms? It looks like a cross between a squarewave and sinewave. I have not seen any tech references to the practical value of this. Does it have any? For example, ... 12 Mar 2010 10:32

Energy harvesting Hello, let's say I want to light a led (steady, not flashing) of some hundred mW. I'd like to use a magnetic energy harvesting method, for example the classical strong magnet into a coil (suggestion about other e. harvesting method are welcome; no thermal or solar, though). Given the following condition (es... 9 Mar 2010 04:33

Basic Stamp I have posted several threads about converting 24Hz pulses to 60Hz basically a 5/2 ratio. I tried a phase locked loop, it sorta works, but my chip count is getting high, and I am thinking about making more of these and selling them if I can write a computer program to resolve wave sound files. Therefore, since ... 10 Mar 2010 09:41
Capacitor Wizard (ESR Tester) Meter Movement I got this part: http://shop.midwestdevices.com/product.sc?productId=3&categoryId=1 when I really should have been looking for this complete assembly: http://midwestdevices.com/Brochure_Blowup.html The movement is a 1ma FS 50 ohm device. Can I build a complete do-it-yourself ESR tester from this meter ... 5 Mar 2010 23:59
