From: Geoff Schaller on 6 Oct 2006 09:23 PS... and no, Microsoft does not behave that way. It is constantly advising people of new tools, features and updates via emails, forums, user groups, evangelists, MVPs and a continual stream of events that pour out of MS on an almost daily basis. You are part of that very structure and culture so you will know how silly your remark must now sound. Vista, MS Office, SQL Server, mobile framework, VS... pick your product but the world has been kept very informed about new features, fixes and enhancements all along and look at the dividends it has paid. Of course maybe you have a different take on things in your specialist field with MS but... And gee, CA? Perhaps they are your measure of comparison for corporate governance but they are not mine. From: Geoff Schaller on 6 Oct 2006 09:28 You like repeating so I guess I do too. You are saying quite clearly that the VO community does not need such answers now and in a forum like this. That simply implies that you are others are treating the VO community with contempt. This is a very sad attitude. Why not engage them? Don't you trust them? ....and why wait for conferences... conferences that only a tiny fraction of the community can attend. And getting tinier with each passing year. Just because this mistake was made in the past doesn't mean it needs to be perpetuated. Come on Ginny, join in with me and others and engage this community wholesomely. Don't treat them like kids and idiots to be spoon fed carefully meted out foibles and tid bits. Perhaps you can then tell me what features will be in the next version of Visual Studio, or SQL Server, or the next version of Windows after Vista. Microsoft's marketing efforts are aimed at spreading the word about product decisions that have already been announced or betas that are public. You were asking about Grafx products and services that are not announced yet. You are part of that very > structure and culture Indeed I am and occasionally I receive NDA information about such matters from Microsoft, as I also occasionally do from Grafx. You are demonstrating quite clearly that you intentionally misquote me. I said that Brian is probably ignoring your question, perhaps because he doesn't want to waste time correcting you when you misquote him as well. That simply implies that you are > others are treating the VO community with contempt. This is a very sad > attitude. Why not engage them? Don't you trust them? Them? I think you mean YOU! You delude yourself if you think you represent "the VO community". Ginny

Ginny, You are deliberately avoiding the question. This is not about me... why continue to make it so. I pose reasonable questions and you are not rebutting that. Do you think for one minute these questions are not relevant to all folks here? Stop making this personal and help us all obtain answers. Period.
