From: Sherlock on 8 Oct 2006 06:44 Geoff, snip[ You said quite clearly that you believed VO 2.8 to be the end of line and several people drew attention to it - not just me. ] You seem to be able to repost where I made these comments as you claim. Please post where this was stated and in the context it was given. -- snip[ No-one is casting gloom here except you guys ] Pull the other one.. You just a stirrer as somebody has already stated. -- snip[ and Brian's continued silence. ] Hang on did you not post an email sent personally to you. This does not sound like silence to me. Brian put his point forward as a supplier trying to get on with his job to put up or shutup. If you had not got the bullet from VOPS you would be singing the praises of VO and denouncing anybody who said any different. -- snip[ Me, I'm getting on with things and helping folks with questions. ] Sure you are.. by telling them to use something else and I see you have information on your corporate website on how to convert VO to other directions and I am sure you will happily take their money for it. Sounds like you have a conflict of interests to me. Phil McGuinness ------
From: Geoff Schaller on 8 Oct 2006 07:07 Hi Phil, How long do you want to perpetuate this discussion Phil? > Hang on did you not post an email sent personally to you. This does not > sound like silence to me. Brian put his point forward as a supplier > trying to get on with his job to put up or shutup. Well actually, now that you raise this, you are correct however it is not a mail of the type that was intended to be private because essentially there is no need for it and it only contained bile. It was not a reasoned discussion on the matter, nor was it asking me to respond - it was simply nasty and ill tempered. How childish. I'm going to have my say but you can't. Well tough tittie I guess. So I put my point again: let's talk about the future of VO and not about why we should have that discussion. You can never win that one. > If you had not got the bullet from VOPS you would be singing the > praises of VO and denouncing anybody who said any different. <rolf> Don't judge me by your standards Phil. You don't have any I prefer to keep. I tried my best for 12 months to get the VO32 program moving and I failed. By your own admissions you basically don't code in VO any more so I don't know why you care. > Sure you are.. by telling them to use something else and I see you have > information on your corporate website on how to convert VO to other You obviously don't read - posts or websites - so you are excused for being wrong. > directions and I am sure you will happily take their money for it. > Sounds like you have a conflict of interests to me. I guess again you can be excused for making these kinds of errors because of course you can't read. The resources on our website are free. That is why can download them and read them. Try it some time (read I mean), you might like it. Geoff

I use VO each and everyday for programming and have never said anything to the contrary. Just spent the entire weekend writing new code as well. Where do constantly come up with this nonsense. Have you thought about a holiday on an island somewhere for a month with no laptop, no internet and a fishing rod. Could be good therapy... and take Graham with you and maybe you can catch some "Mullet" and of course throw it back. <G> Phil -----
From: Geoff Schaller on 8 Oct 2006 18:28 Phil, You spin a different story every time the wind changes. Its hard to keep up with you. You have told me time and again you've basically left VO, don't do any coding, moved over PHP, dealing with video processes, building websites... whatever. I'll start pointing such things out as you post them if you like <g>. Geoff You do not listen to anybody but yourself. snip[ You have told me time and again you've basically left VO, ] I have not left VO... too much still to do. -- snip[ don't do any coding, moved over PHP, dealing with video processes, building websites... whatever ] I would like to do less coding for sure and with this new acquistion and few more developers maybe this might happen, but I would then use this time for protyping or just data conversions. I have 2 fulltime PHP + C# developers now and I do not code in PHP myself and never said I did. We as a company do both desktop and websites / intranets development. The greatest growth is browser based software and almost unlimited work in this area and I do not see this slowing down. If you are going to bullshit please get part of the story straight.. Phil --- |
