Geoff,

snip[ I can now find C# developers to add to my team at the drop of a
hat. For VO (and obviously Vulcan), I would have to train them. This
won't worry the individual or contractor but it is of concern to the
workshop. ]

With almost unlimited work out there ,.. how come these guys/gals are
looking for job ?
Some of the developers I have met with 'quickie' program courses are
not worth feeding.

You guys say over and over and over you have to learn the framework and
this is basis of .NET and it is obvious no language will suit
everybody. You have a suite of language choices available to build a
..NET app.

Look at the list of languages for .NET

http://www.dotnetpowered.com/languages.aspx

Even VULCAN is on the list. Quite frankly if there are this many
langauges already in .NET and this would of cost quite a bit a lot of
developers want to stay with a language they know.

Phil wasn't at the Dutch SDE conference where Brian made that statement (via
Skype).

Thanks for asking about that. They reopened my course the first of August.
Of course all of us wanted to play on it and did, and it was hot (as it
usually is) so the greens got pretty well beaten up. They closed it again so
the greens could heal after just a couple of weeks. It's now scheduled to
reopen November 1. You probably won't see me online as much after then. <g>

Geoff,

Brian is just responding to market demand from what I can tell. I didn't
want VO 2.8, but I must admit it's nice using it. I may feel the same way
about the next one, but I do hope I don't need it.

Phil,

I aware what PHP is Phil ,you really aren't Robinson Crusoe in using it. So
what has PHP got to do in a discussion concerning Vulcan and C#, there
hasn't been any web development discussion in this thread.
