Geoff,

You were asking about the next version of VO after the one still not
released.

All I can tell you about that is that there will be one. The specifics of
the next version of VO after 2.8 haven't been announced yet, and when they
are announced I think it's unlikely that the initial announcement will be
made in a newsgroup post. When Microsoft announces the features of the next
version of Windows after Vista, they probably won't do it in a newsgroup
post either.

I've been ignoring Geoff for quite some time now. I don't even see his
posts/ramblings unless they are quoted by someone else. I made a decision a
long time ago to not waste another minute of my time about what Geoff,
Graham or anyone one else in VS_PITA group.
(That's Very Special_PITA's)

We have way to much to accomplish with out having to read their nonsense all
day.

It's funny that you can "waste another minute" to respond sarcasticlly to
Geoff by you can't "waste another minute" to give some real information to
your users. You know, the ones who buy your product, but don't want to be an
"exclusive little club thingy" member.

Yes, I realize as an MVP you receive information that I don't. Also as a
Microsoft Partner I receive information that non-members don't. However, we
all receive tons of information, betas, documentation, samples, roadmaps,
etc because Microsoft takes good care of their developers, partners or
non-partners. To compare the level of service received from Microsoft at all
levels, to the service and information coming out of Grafx is laughable. If
you honestly believe what you are saying after dealing with Microsoft for
the years that you have, I question how grounded you are in reality.

My gosh, you are like Phil trying to wriggle with words out of cocoon
you spun yourself. We don't even know what was fixed in 2.8 (which IS
the NEXT version). Have you read the dribble on the website? Nothing.
Certainly nothing useful or informative. "...multiple fixes..." What's
that? Hardly useful advertising for something Brian expects money for.
Please compare this with the public (...read that... public) release
notes for the freely available tech refresh for Office 2007. Gee, even
take the notes around the latest patch for Oracle or DB2. Or MySQL!

Beyond 2.8, what many here are seeking is a statement of intent about VO
and its future. You have clear statements of intent from MS - or as an
MVP are you suggesting something else? And why wouldn't this very forum
be the place for Brian to make such pronouncements? It is the only
public forum we have and also the only one that can reach the broadest
range of potential users. Certainly a conference with 40-50 delegates in
one country is hardly a representative forum. Get with the program
Ginny, help make information available and relevant. Don't hide behind
spin.
