I do, Brian stated in Cologne last year that he will continue VO32 'forever', that there will come a time somewhere in the future where he will putVO32 into maintenance mode. On the other hand, during Devfest this year ( i was not there) Brian has been talking about a VO 3.0 version as well. I think Brian will come with a statment about the future of VO32 during VODC-Cologne, so i recomment everybody to join.... From: Geoff Schaller on 4 Oct 2006 05:02 Erik, Yes - so the speculation (well founded) is VO 2.8 Geoff "ER!k V!sser" <burod000_notthis_(a)planet.nl> wrote in message news:4oh6pnFel388U1(a)individual.net: > > that he will continue VO32 'forever' > > > should be > > that he will _not_ continue VO32 'forever' > > Erik >
From: Geoff Schaller on 4 Oct 2006 05:03 ...except your last post refutes this. Can you see how the confusion arises? If VO 2.8 is it, as it now seems likely, that will certainly spur folks on to something else. Geoff, Read it like you want, you were not there. This is over a year ago, and in the meantime Brian listens very hard what is going on. See also's Patrick remark. Brian makes very clear that he has no plan stopping VO32 development after the release of VO2.8 And of course, he will stop at the time, when he sees everybody is only focussing on .NET. Erik |
