From: Geoff Schaller on 7 Oct 2006 21:04 Self-censorship is the strongest form of denial <g>. I think it is clear that the reason Brian doesn't respond is that he really doesn't have anything to say. He has publicly stated that VO 2.8 will be the last version of VO32 and Phil and Eric have corroborated this. And now he doesn't deny it. Let that be a sobering call to all those deciding their future development base. The bells are tolling loud and clear that VO is over... But what is interesting is his seemingly lack of genuine interest in the product and its users. Apart from hiding behind Ginny's skirt... The real volume of traffic in the product is here, certainly not the VOPS forum. If Brian really does filter out threads with me in them then he is ignoring the problems and solutions for over half of the participating online VO community. How can you ever gauge the needs of a product if you don't engage with its user base. (And don't give that VOPS club thing as a measure of engagement - it clearly isn't). I think Brian's continued reluctance to engage with the VO32 community is the loudest message we can get. From: Geoff Schaller on 8 Oct 2006 03:26 Please listen to yourself Eric. This is not mature discussion. And no, its not just me. Have you seen any response in here from Brian except for one add for 2.8 and one bitchy comment about me? No. So you see he is ignoring everyone here, not just me. I rest my case Your Honour... From: Sherlock on 8 Oct 2006 04:17 Geoff, snip[ The real volume of traffic in the product is here, certainly not the VOPS forum. ] What utter rubbish. The VOPS is professional group and lots posts and feedback on daily basis. snip[ He has publicly stated that VO 2.8 will be the last version of VO32 and Phil and Eric have corroborated this. ] I corrobated nothing of sort. You twist and turn any facts to be another set of facts removed from the truth. I said for ME.. personally this is the version I am looking for and possibly my last. If there is market for Grafx and dollars for ongoing development I am sure it will continue. -- snip[ If Brian really does filter out threads with me in them then he > is ignoring the problems and solutions for over half of the participating online VO community ] So you are half the VO community.. what a joke. Just one person who writes endless tripe, and helps some and degrades others. -- snip[ How can you ever gauge the needs of a product if you don't engage with its user base. ] The VOPS is developing the next VO and VULCAN and is a very busy and positive place indeed. New builds, new things. -- snip[ (And don't give that VOPS club thing as a measure of engagement - it clearly isn't).] Definitely is.. sorry to disillusion you. -- snip[ I think Brian's continued reluctance to engage with the VO32 community is the loudest message we can get. ] So by your own claim you are half the VO community and thrown out of selling of Grafx products and then then VOPS by popular opinion might I add. Others think he did the right thing and continues to do the right thing by delivering very shortly the best VO ever. Despite this you continue to cast gloom and the end of the world scenarios which are quite sad that you have to continue to dig youself a hole. Good piece of advice, "When in a hole, stop digging!" Just a shame your pride cannot accept this, but your brought it on yourself. Phil McGuinness --------

Is that the best you can do... just re-cycle my quotes? <g> You said quite clearly that you believed VO 2.8 to be the end of line and several people drew attention to it - not just me. Wriggle on Phil, or get back to real VO discussions. No-one is casting gloom here except you guys and Brian's continued silence. Me, I'm getting on with things and helping folks with questions. You're just carping on about nothing. Whatever, Phil. |
