We consider a re-write too expensive. And in practical terms, it will
never happen. We have 4 major platforms and each has about 200,000
unique lines of code. Most of the functionality is stable so integration
with new stuff is my only concern and we are achieving that quite
nicely.

Is that a rhetorical question and if so, are you seeking a rhetorical
answer? If not then I guess I don't need to respond.

Hi Patrick,

I sure am enjoying myself here ;-)

We are using the last VOPS build we got out of VOPS so it's a bit newer than
2740.

I'm not convinced the editor and vss alone will justifiy it for us here
we'll see.

Cheers,
Ed

Patrick,

I don't plan to do much to my legacy code at all. All our new features
tend to come with new technology. All I need to do with my VO code is
just keep it alive and fix the odd bug here or there. VO 2.8 just
doesn't offer anything new that will be important to us. See the other
thread.

? Eh, but Robert said:

I'm confused....
