You may want to check out what they were actually called though - the term provisional, real, official, continuity etc were often used because they were basically thugs. The Irish Republican Army pretty much ceased to exist with the creation of the Free State. If AQ called themselves the Banana Splits would it be a fruit salad instead of a war? |
