Neither would I; it neither replaces the laptop [MacBook], the desktop
[MacBook in dock with external devices!] or the smartphone [iPhone]. It
just fills a niche where none of the above computers are particularly
good.

And what a long of complainers complain about is that it is not well
suited for what it is not designed for ...

Sure, but having an app for that is nowhere near as useful as having a
system-wide handwriting option that would work in every app.
