For one thing, America created a fertile breeding ground for them. If
Woodrow Wilson had not been so insistent on Germany paying war
reparations for their part the first World War, the second war may
never have happened. The reparations destroyed the German economy,
stirred anti-semetic attitudes, and made for a perfect atmosphere for
the Nazis to come to power. So, you can thank the good 'ol U.S.of A.
for that one.

So, as you can see, apostle does not mean 'one of the Twelve'.
