No. I didn't say there was.
The categories there are too general to be meaningful and useful.
Beer Can Racer, for example, is in Travel.
Do you really think that's meaningful and useful?
I gave you a more specific, meaningful and useful category.

do you really think a category of a couple of apps is useful? you'd end
up with tens of thousands of categories.

Works fine here, thanks to the HTC Sense UI.
(Should have included that in my list.)

Listen (Google) is excellent, and notwithstanding some relatively minor
issues, better than anything I've seen for iPhone.

I just use the phone for podcasts, thus no need to sync.
If I wanted to be in sync, I could use Google Reader,
which beats any one computer because it's automatic and in the cloud.

Sure. Sync Toy is quite good.

No such problem when I upgraded from Android 1.5 to 1.6.

MyBackup actually makes backup a snap (should have included that too),
plus my Google data is in the cloud, and thus readily available to any
connected device.

Perhaps you think Android is behind iPhone because you don't know the
best of Android. ;)

in other words, it is a multi-step process.

perhaps you think android is ahead because you don't know the best of
iphone.

how about in-app purchases? oh yea, not there on android either.

bottom line: android does some things better, other things worse.
